Currently we construct networks on behalf of Gigaclear. We build out from a central point (fibre cabinet) via chambers to a micro enclosure or customer connection point (CCP) this point is located at each individual property.

We prepare closures of various sizes and then fusion splice the Fibre cables to produce a network. Once the network is built it has a point to point test carried out using an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and visual light source.

Very similar to the direct burial network, we also construct a micro duct network. The main difference with this network is that instead of direct burying the fibre, multi and micro ducting or plastic tubing is buried. This allows us to blow fibre from one point to another. The benefits of this network is the ability to increase fibre capacity in line with customer demand with little need to re-excavate a network. It also gives a network a longer life by replacing old or damaged fibre.
