We have successfully delivered large schemes in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Devon and Buckinghamshire, with the emphasis on speed and quality of install whilst sympathetically managing all stakeholders involved. These networks are transforming communities by giving them access to cutting edge, future-proof broadband services.
We build a FTTH network out from a central point (fibre cabinet) via
chambers or smaller cabinets, to a micro enclosure, or customer
connection point (CCP). We have constructed both direct burial,
traditionally ducted and blown fibre networks.
Our most recent innovation is around the blown fibre networks, where we have employed narrow trenching machines (cutting at 70mm width) alongside a rapid reinstatement technique. The net result in this dual technology is that we are able to deliver networks for our clients 30% quicker and 30% cheaper; thus allowing more remote communities to be accessed.
Alongside our fibre division that deals with the civils elements of the works, we have grown our own fibre splicing department to allow us to deliver turnkey network solutions. Our team of engineers can handle all splicing activities, from fusion splicing, blown fibre operation, optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) and tube integrity testing.
In parallel with our larger fibre projects, we also carry out domestic and commercial fibre connections for smaller clients. This includes completing a secondary connection for Cheltenham Ladies College, between their new sports centre and their main campus.
